Home > Just woke up from a nap which always works to increase libido.

I was a bit burned out so I took a nap and just woke up.  Not that you really give a shit. Instead of talking about ways to increase libido, let me talk about ways to get more shit done in your day.  There are two things I discovered in life which really amplify your productivity.  The first is what is called a split-sleep cycle.  I think that’s what it’s called.   I heard radio talk-show host Michael Savage call it something like that the other day – or was it the other week?  Anyway, human beings were really meant to sleep in 2 phases.  Once is in the evening for a 2-3 hour block any time between 6pm and 9pm, and the next time would be a few hours after you wake up.  The first sleep cycle really works with your natural rhythms and takes care of a lot of the physical and restorative aspects of sleep.  The second sleep cycle deals more with the mental.  You will dream like crazy in the second phase!  I know this is completely unscientific as they will say that sleep is sleep and your body goes through these cycles of REM and all this shit no matter when you lay down.  Yes, I’ve read all the books!  But I’ve also heard stories from varied individuals ranging from anthropologists to Chinese medical doctors and there is more to it then commonly thought.  All I can say is try it, and you will see what I am talking about.  Why do you think a lot of cultures have siestas?  Naturally sleeping in this fashion can be really disruptive because our society is designed to pull you out of your natural way of being.  I only became acquainted with this when I worked the graveyard shift as a hotel manager in Manhattan back when I was in college.
